The Understand the Bible App

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been working on a mobile app for Understand the Bible. Last week I submitted the Android app to Google, and it has been approved. I am now ready to start testing the app.
If you’d like to help out by testing the app before it is released, please do get in touch. There’s no risk to testing an app, and I think the app is ready, but it would be good just to check that it works on a range of devices!
Actually, I think you might be able to get there just be visiting this website.
Heidelberg Catechism: Introduction
I’ve decided to work my way through the Heidelberg Catechism. These videos will eventually find their way onto a course here, but in the meantime I will be uploading them to YouTube – I recorded the introduction here today. Do have a watch.
The book is: “The Good News we Almost Forgot” by Kevin DeYoung
You can find the text of the catechism in many places, e.g. this website: http://www.heidelberg-catechism.com/en/

Moving away from YouTube
A bit of housekeeping: I am starting to move the courses away from YouTube. I will keep some content available on the YouTube channel, but all of the course content on this website will be served from elsewhere. This is partly because I’ve become uncomfortable with using YouTube for something like this, and partly because I needed somewhere to store audio files as well as videos.
All videos should now have an audio equivalent (hooray!). I have also removed some of the courses which didn’t quite ‘fit’ with UTB at the moment – e.g. the Biblical series. (They will remain available on YouTube).
If you have any problems, please let me know!
Repentance (5): Turning from Sin | Ephesians 5:1-20
What is Christianity? – 5. Grace
In the last session we thought about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins – but what difference does that make to our lives? And how does it work? In this session we dive a bit deeper.
You may listen to the audio-only version instead.
Is the Coronavirus God’s judgement?

I did a Facebook live session tonight thinking about whether the coronavirus is God’s judgement on us. I know it’s a question quite a few people have been asking. It’s a big topic and you’d have to spend hours really going into all the ins and outs, but this is my go at giving an answer live in a few minutes:
The passage I read from is Joel 2:12-14.
What is Christianity? – 4. Jesus
Who is Jesus and what did he come to do? One of the most important questions you can ask about Christianity!
You may also listen to the audio-only version if you prefer.
